Showquest are an equestrian clothing and accessory manufacturer, based in Darwen near Blackburn. They came to us with an old, outdated website that needed a refurb in order to stay relevant and be something that they were proud to share a link to.

The website needed to be able to take orders for standard accessories and clothing, as well as accommodate bespoke requests from across Europe as well as provide reduced prices for wholesale members.

It wasn’t feasible to work with the existing website as it was a custom build with lots of layers of coding that would be far more expensive and time-consuming to unravel, so a new website needed to be built that would be easy to manage and update. we decided that WordPress would be the best fit for this website.

The functionality requirements could be met with functionality provided by WordPress and Woocommerce as well as a mix of plugins that allows a different price for logged-in wholesale customers, different shipping and VAT rates for overseas orders and bespoke invoicing and receipt printing and email delivery.

Working with Showquest, we have managed to create the website in a way that makes it easy to manage products, stock levels, new items and blog posts.
The design of the website is now far more aligned with the company ethos and promotes the USPs of the business.  Purchasing of products is much easier with more automation, freeing up staff time. Orders and customers are tracked allowing future correspondence with previous purchasers to be much easier and targeted.

There have been some issues encountered such as spam sign-ups from bots and orders from countries that were not on a shipping list, but the support that we provide for websites that we build has allowed us to quickly resolve these issues and help increase revenue on a website that is working really well.
